Chemical Peelings!
Nital Skin Clinic offers following types of skin peels :
- Glycolic peel: This is one of the deep, intensive skin treatments focusing on the resurfacing and renewing of the epidermis. It is an effective and versatile skin therapy for treatment of acne, hyper-pigmentation, sun damage, large pores, and wrinkles using glycolic acid. Glycolic peels have the smallest molecular structure of the Alpha Hydroxyl Acid Peel group. These are used to improve and smooth the texture of the skin of the face by removing its damaged outer layers.
- Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peel The TCA skin peel is one of the skin peel acids which is non-comodogenic and actually kills acne causing bacteria and stops pimples immediately. After treatment on the first day the skin will look like it has a sunburn. On the second day it will look like it has a tan and will feel tight. For the next several days the skin will start to peel and reveal a much younger and more radiant look.
- Salicylic acid peel: Beta hydroxy acid content present in this peel work by breaking the bonds that hold dead skin cells in place. This allows the cells to be easily removed leaving behind healthier, newer looking skin. One advantage of salicylic acid peels is that the anti-inflammatory properties of salicylic acid helps to prevent problems such as irritation occurring after the treatment. It is soluble in lipids so the pills can penetrate oily skin better to clean the pores more effectively and remove dirt, dust and any accumulated sebum.
Procedure for Chemical skin peeling :
Initially, the skin is prepared by thoroughly cleaning.
The acid solution is applied to the skin and left for between 10 and 15 minutes.
After it is removed cold compresses or a mild cream or lotion may be applied to help ease any irritation.
The skin may become red after the procedure. The top layer of the skin will gradually fall off over the next few days allowing new skin to appear
Chemical peeling is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to separate and eventually peel off the top layers of skin while rejuvenating at the same time. The regenerated skin is usually even in color, smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin.
Chemical peeling is often used to treat fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth. Wrinkles caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors can often be reduced or even eliminated with this procedure. Areas of sun-damaged skin, sun-induced elastics may improve after chemical peeling. It's also an effective treatment for elderly people who have extremely flaccid, fragile skin.
